Scanner Issues
SCANNER BEEPS, BUT THE DOOR DOES NOT OPEN
- Check your DAC’s “Health” logs for ERROR messages or other unusual Result States
(Setup > Door Access Control > Connected, Connection Issues, or Disconnected; and
then select the “Filter Action” of “Validate User”) - Unplug the scanner and plug it back in (try again after it re-initializes)
- Unplug the DAC and plug it back in (try again after it re-initializes)
- Note, it is recommended to use the DAC’s built in voice notifications to provide clear
notice that the door is open or will not open, instead of relying on the scanner beep.
SCANNER DOES NOT BEEP
- Validate the scanner is awake from sleep mode by making sure the area is well lit and
moving objects in front of the scanner - If the scanner will not wakeup from sleep:
- Unplug the scanner and plug it back in (try again after it re-initializes)
- Unplug the DAC and plug it back in (try again after it re-initializes)
- If this is an ongoing issue, then use the scanner settings from your scanners manual to
prevent the scanner from entering sleep mode.
