ATTENDANCE TRACKING
Visitation Patters, Attendance Tracking & Gym Usage
Attendance tracking lets you know who uses the gym, how often, and at what time of the day or night. Tracking member attendance provides valuable usage statistics that can aid in planning, member experience, and security. Overall, tracking attendance can provide gym owners with the data they need to successfully manage and grow their business. Keep reading to learn more about attendance tracking and the benefits it offers.
How Do I Track My Members Attendance?
RhinoFit offers three ways to track attendance. Either of these methods will produce the required attendance data, however some will require additional hardware. Learn more abut what our fitness software has to offer.
Key Tags
Key tags provide an inexpensive way to scan members into the gym quickly, without having to look them up in the software. First, members receive a plastic bar code linked to their member profile. Upon arrival they present the card to the front desk person who scans it with a barcode reader. Each time the key tag gets scanned, the software creates an attendance record which gets stored in the member's profile.
Sign In Kiosk
The sign-in kiosk replaces the front desk person. Instead of scanning a key tag, the member uses a tablet*, placed at the front desk, to search for their name. After locating their name, they then click on their name to create the attendance record. The kiosk can even be configured to automatically sign them into their class. *Tablet is not included with the RhinoFit software and must be purchased by the gym.
Door Access Control
Our top tier software includes a Door Access Control Unit which unlocks the front door after a successful member scan. Similar to using Key Tags, members scan their key tag, using a barcode reader placed outside the gym. Tied directly to the software, only those members with a current, up to date, paid membership are allowed into the gym.
What Are The Benefits Of Attendance Tracking?
Tracking attendance provides gym owners with several benefits. While some more beneficial than others, they should all be combined whenever possible to provide the most benefit to the gym owner as well as the members.
Member Experience
Retain your members longer with an excellent customer experience. It costs more to bring in a new member than it does to keep a current member. Provide members with small gifts when they reach a milestone. Offer a free gym t-shirt on their 50th visit or give them a water bottle, on their 100th visit. You could even hold a contest for the most visits in a month by any one member.
Planning For The Future
Break down your attendance statistics several different ways. Use them to determine the busiest time of the day, or the most popular class. Usage statistics aid in planning for growth or predict when it's time to expand the business. Attendance data lets you know when to buy more equipment, or purchase more inventory.
Potential Legal Issues
Keep track of the people in your gym. Hopefully you'll never have to prosecute a member of your gym. However, keeping accurate records of who was there and at what time can help with legal issues. You may even be able to help a member by proving they were at the gym and not somewhere else.
