With Black Friday approaching (November 23) your gym should be establishing a plan to take advantage, right? Black Friday is traditionally known for shoppers going into retail malls at crazy hours of the night. It could also mean increasing memberships and sales on classes for your fitness business. As a fitness business owner, the best way to benefit from Black Friday is to offer special, unique deals to entice current or prospective customers to purchase memberships or new classes at your studio.
Even though Black Friday is almost two weeks away, it’s not too late for you to establish a plan. Here are a few of our tips at RhinoFit on how you can get your plan started:
Hold Post-Thanksgiving Classes
It’s obvious, people eat a lot on Thanksgiving. Take advantage of this by offering calorie-burning classes on Black Friday dedicated to burning off that turkey! You’re likely to see your classes filled on this day! You can also offer a free guest pass for your members to bring their friends. This will generate more business for your studio.
Offer Deals on Memberships and Class Packages
Everybody loves deals, right? Another great idea is to offer discounted deals on Black Friday for your memberships or classes. This is a great way to go into the new year with more people in your studio and a great way to lock in payments up front. Once people purchase class passes, you’re guaranteed to have more filled class spaces. This will give you a better idea of how many classes to hold next year in your studio.
Give Merch Discounts!
One of the easiest ways to get customers involved is to offer them discounts on the items you sell! If you have items sitting on your shelf that haven’t sold, give customers a HUGE discount! This is a lot better than having to deal with the restocking fee you would likely pay to your supplier. You can offer a one-time offer of 25% for all merchandise and even a larger discount on the items you’re trying to get rid of.
With these tips in mind, your studio will be in good shape for Black Friday!
