Your Gym’s New Year Resolutions

Happy New Year!

As this year begins, resolution makers will be hitting your facility ready to adhere to the commitment they made to themselves. As a Health and Wellness business, your resolution should be to keep your retention high and sustainable. Here are a few ways to do so in 2018:

  1.  DIVERSIFY. Offer more, whether it be a rewards program or simply extended hours via a 24/7 access system.
  2.  PACKAGING. Package more into a single membership transaction. A membership is just the beginning. Total health is more than just showing up to the gym. The member should be offered nutritional products, personal training, and class-based instruction, thus, contributing more revenue and a higher profitability per member in your gym.
  3.  BUILD RELATIONSHIPS. Relationships built with your clients will lead to retention. It is a lot easier to keep the clients you have as opposed to getting some off the street. Sending a birthday email or simply congratulating them on achieving a benchmark goal can go a long way in relationship building.
